To digi stamp or not...:-)

I have always felt a little reluctrance against digi stamp sets. Just because I like the smell of (new) rubber, the ink on my hands. Yeah I know, strange habbit isn't it;-P and the possibility to make little scenes with stamps. Don't forget my lack of printer knowledge and the fear of messing things up, like not getting the right stamp size.... blablabla;-) 

But...I've tried and with a little help of my dear friend Nikki I've done it!! I've made my first digital stamped card ever and yes I am totally sold!!! This way of "stamping" opens so much possibillities. One BIG advantage is that you can order your digistamps and get them right away, I am a very unpatience person so this is a huge thing to me:-P (No waiting days or weeks till you finally have the newbies in your hand) You don't have to ink anything up, you can print and stamp right away. I had some doubts about my Prisma's, odorless spirits and my printer ink but this was no problem at all (don't no about Copics and printer ink but I will try that later on)

Now, won't I buy any rubber stamps anymore? No, I love to hold a stamp and this will never change. But there are lots of images I like to work with perhaps a couple of times and don't want to invest a lot of euro's in them. (A girl has to choose sometimes doesn't she:-)) So for me it opens a new world but I won't say goodbye to the "real" thing.

Okay that was my little story about Digi Stamping. The card I've made was made with an image from My Furriest Friends, the whole set is available at Bunny Zoe's Crafts for only £6! The designpaper and embellishments came all from a Kit form Card Art

copics will work with printer ink. just be sure to use a good paper. i like pti

Beautiful card Inge. I am just like you about rubber stamps...digi images are ok...but I still prefer to actually have the stamp...very strange I know!

Ik las je stukje over 'digi's'.... ik zou het zelf geschreven kunnen hebben.
Ook ik heb er weken geleden verschillende besteld... en inderdaad het vervangt de liefde voor 'gewone'stempels niet maar 't is wel leuk om bijv. met de afmeting ervan te variëren.

Heerlijk stukje over de digi's ... heb er geen ervaring mee (maar wie weet komt dat nog)! Wil het 'rubber' eigenlijk ook altijd graag hebbuh. Je kaartje is weer prachtig ...
Kwam eigenlijk ff de titel van dat spannende boek opzoeken ... hihihi. Ben n.l. weer toe aan een nieuw boek!

Ik begrijp je gevoelens over de digi-stamps helemaal hoor, 100% mee eens op alle fronten :). Maar het eindresultaat mag er zeker zijn. Erg leuk ook met het lijntjes papier en de tekst erop en ik ga gewoon niets meer zeggen over jouw kleurwerk want dat is gewoon ZOOOOOOOOOOOOO mooi :).

Great card as always! I love using digi stamps. I use Copics with them all the time with no problems.

Great card Inge! you can use a laser printer with copics too. The marker will not smear the digital image. The same thing applies to colored pencil pencils too.

suuuper Inge en ook ik ben best wel sceptisch over digistamps maar misschien moet ik het ook gewoon eens proberen

Hallo Inge,
je kleurt ook met de Copic Markers prachtig, je hebt net als bij gebruik van de andere mediums gevoel nodig voor kleuren en lichtinval. Beide heb jij, dus komt het helemaal goed met de markers. Ik heb enorm veel rubberstempels, weet niet meer waar ik ze moet opbergen, dus heb er veel van het hout gehaald. Digistamps zijn in dat opzicht ideaal, geen ruimte nodig.Je kunt elke maat afdrukken, combineren in een fotobewerker. Ik hou er wel van.
Print ze met een inktjet printer op DCP papier en je kunt ze meteen kleuren met je Copics.
